Membership

Membership runs from January to December. As a member, you’ll receive:

• The Society’s quarterly journal Blithe Spirit ;
• Four issues of The Brief newsletter (by email or exceptionally by post);
• If you are a new member, the Members’ Handbook.

You’ll also be entitled to:

• Vote on Society matters.
• Have one haiku included in the annual Members’ Anthology.

As you may know, the BHS is a registered charity and as such, we are eligible to benefit from the Gift Aid option.

This is a voluntary option which comes at no extra cost to the membership, yet helps us enormously in keeping the BHS running sustainably.

If you would like to support us with gift aid, then please use the payment options that have the header ‘Gift Aid’.

By using the gift aid links you agree and declare the following:
“I want to Gift Aid this donation and any donations I make in the future, or have made in the past four years to The British Haiku Society.

I confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and I understand that if I pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay the difference.”

Joint membership – spouse/partner/two people at the same land and email address will receive one journal. Both parties can submit their work to the journal, vote, etc.
